Congressman Michael Guest reflects on local events and leadership

Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi's 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates and reflections through his social media on January 31, 2025. His posts included a tribute to a fallen service member, participation in local events, and appreciation for community leadership.

On January 31, 2025, Congressman Guest expressed condolences for Chief Warrant Officer 2 Eaves from Noxubee County. "Chief Warrant Officer 2 Eaves grew up in Noxubee County and dedicated his life to service of country. Our prayers are with his family and everyone impacted by this terrible event."

Later that day, he attended the EMBDC Annual Meeting in Meridian and participated in the Compass Datacenter Announcement Ceremony. He appreciated the opportunity to engage with local leaders during these events. "I enjoyed attending the EMBDC Annual Meeting in Meridian and the Compass Datacenter Announcement Ceremony. While in Meridian, I was honored to talk with local community leaders who also attended. I want to thank each of these local leaders for your service to Meridian."

In another post on January 31, 2025, Congressman Guest acknowledged Mayor Gene McGee's contributions to Ridgeland since taking office in 1989. He noted Ridgeland's growth under Mayor McGee’s leadership during their recent meeting. "I want to thank Mayor Gene McGee for taking time this week to give me an update on all the great things happening in Ridgeland. Mayor McGee was sworn in as mayor in 1989 and Ridgeland has grown tremendously under Mayor McGee’s leadership."
