On January 31, 2025, Congressman Guest expressed condolences for Chief Warrant Officer 2 Eaves from Noxubee County. "Chief Warrant Officer 2 Eaves grew up in Noxubee County and dedicated his life to service of country. Our prayers are with his family and everyone impacted by this terrible event."

Later that day, he attended the EMBDC Annual Meeting in Meridian and participated in the Compass Datacenter Announcement Ceremony. He appreciated the opportunity to engage with local leaders during these events. "I enjoyed attending the EMBDC Annual Meeting in Meridian and the Compass Datacenter Announcement Ceremony. Mayor McGee was sworn in as mayor in 1989 and Ridgeland has grown tremendously under Mayor McGee’s leadership."
