On January 29, 2025, Congressman Guest congratulated Kadence Anding for winning the Congressional App Challenge for Mississippi’s Third District. He mentioned his visit to Brandon High School where he had the honor of presenting her with an award. "I want to congratulate Kadence Anding for winning the Congressional App Challenge for Mississippi’s Third District. I was honored to meet her at Brandon High School, and present Kadence with an award for her hard work."

The following day, January 30, 2025, Congressman Guest attended the EMBDC annual meeting in Meridian. He expressed gratitude towards local leaders and emphasized his interest in collaborating with East Mississippi community leaders. "I was in Meridian for the EMBDC annual meeting; and had the opportunity to meet with local leaders. I want to thank these individuals for their hard work, and I look forward to finding new opportunities for my office to partner with East Mississippi community leaders."

On January 31, 2025, Congressman Guest conveyed his sorrow over the death of Andrew Eaves, a Mississippi native who died in a helicopter crash in Washington D.C., along with other military officials. "Haley and I were saddened to learn of the tragic death of Mississippi native Andrew Eaves, who was among the military officials who lost his life on the helicopter involved in the crash in Washington, D.C., last night."
