The following day, January 23, 2025, he commented on a recent executive order by President Trump regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies. He stated: "On day one President Trump issued an executive order pushing back on DEI, a liberal far left policy that has been disastrous for our nation. Congress must now put into statute and make the Trump executive order permanent by forever banning this failed policy."
