White had the largest percent of student body in Lincoln County schools in 2019-2020 school year

Of the 5,772 students enrolled in Lincoln County schools in 2019-2020, 58.8% were White, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Lincoln County students.

This is a 1.1% decrease from the previous school year.

Enterprise School had the highest enrollment of White students in the 2019-2020 school year.

A snapshot of Lincoln County schools showed 58.8% students were White, 37.9% were Black or African American and 1.5% were Two or More Races.

There are nine schools in Lincoln County.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly one decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
