Co-Lin men’s basketball wins MACCC Conference Championship
The Co-Lin's men's basketball team clinched their first Mississippi Association of Community College Conference (MACCC) Championship in 24 years. Under second year head coach David Sanders, the Wolves finish the regular season with an 18-5 overall record, 12-2 in the conference.
Co-Lin, the No. 1 seed, receives a first round bye in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament. They will host the winner of Jones College (No. 8 seed) and Northeast Mississippi (No. 9 seed) on Wednesday, March 1, at 6 p.m. in Mullen Gym. The winner of that game will move on to the semifinals of the Region 23 tournament on Saturday, March 4, at Mississippi College in Clinton.
The last time Co-Lin won a conference championship was in 1999 under then head coach Dennis Sims.
