Prairie View A&M defeated Alcorn State 12-0 in five innings on March 13 at the Alcorn Softball Complex, opening their Southwestern Athletic Conference softball series with a decisive win.

Prairie View started quickly, scoring three runs in the first inning off Alcorn starting pitcher Chiara Olison.
