On Tuesday, March 17, at 5 p.m., former North Pike Senior High School standout Averi Paden helped lead her current college team, the Nicholls State Colonels, to a 10-0 victory in their NCAA Division I softball matchup against the Alcorn State Lady Braves.
Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park hosted the teams for their first meeting this season.
Paden pitched four innings, striking out three batters.
The Colonels’ following game is set for Friday, March 20, at 6 p.m. at Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park, where they will face the McNeese State Cowgirls.
