On Friday, March 13, at 3 p.m., Averi Paden, a former North Pike Senior High School standout, helped the Nicholls State Colonels to a 4-3 win in an NCAA Division I softball contest against the Incarnate Word Cardinals.
HEB Field hosted the game, marking the Colonels’ opening meeting with the Cardinals this season.
Paden pitched one inning, allowing two earned runs with one walk and one strikeout.
The Colonels are set for their next game on Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m. at HEB Field, again facing Incarnate Word.
